Sports a sizeable collection of board games but still values the Settlers which even led him to his first Essen fair because of participation in the Settlers World championship 2006.

Current favorites include Eldritch Horror and Android Netrunner. Attends and organizes local competetive play events for various LCG's like Android Netrunner, Warhammer Conquest, Star Wars.

My introduction to modern board games started in 2011 after friends gave me Carcassonne as a New Year's present. When I started to search more information about this game and began to buy it’s expansions. I have liked Carcassonne so much that I decided to popularize it here in Latvia. I have translated all the rules with detailed clarifications to Latvian and created local website - carcassonne.lv - with forum. Then I had a meeting with local Carcassonne distributor and in cooperation we started to organize monthly Carcassonne evenings, where everyone can come and play Carcassonne with expansions in many combinations. Once a year I am organizing Carcassonne mini-championship with expansions. My addiction to Carcassonne doesn’t mean that I don’t like other board games: I like and play many other games, mostly, so called, “Euro games”, such as “Ticket to Ride”, “Settlers of Catan”, “Kingdom Builder” etc.

Enjoyed boardgames in childhood. Took a 'break' until Latvian edition of Settlers of Catan came out. Introduced to pen and paper style games by friends. Never left.
